JDL is taking care of it with the warranty. Jesse rebuilt the affected runner and replaced the flange, then recoated it. The process was a bit delayed because I ordered the OP/FP combo pipe at the same time. Supposed to ship out Monday.

Bob said it was okay for me to track on a stock header with my current tune, but....yeah. I'm iffy on it. I worry I'd blow out the stock cat and then have yet another problem on my hands.

Oh good. Yeah, I wouldn't risk it either.

We got exactly one dry session at the end of Saturday's Turn2 event at The Ridge. Most of the day was some mix of torrential downpour and light misting. The sun always seemed to come out for B group though! Guess that was a sign to move up next year.

I set a new PR of 2:05:02 as the track was drying out. After watching the video, I think there are at least two seconds left on the table. Regardless, I'm super happy to end the season with that time!

Here's me reeling in a Mustang GT. That thing took OFF on the straights. Amazing to see how much later a BRZ can brake by comparison. I stopped measuring the distance in feet and rather started counting seconds until I'd stomp on the quiet pedal. These cars are amazing.

I hear you. But driving in the rain is always good practice!

And thanks—lots to learn from you though. It will take me some time to edge towards your 2:02

I think you would have had a 2:04 if that mustang wasn't in front of you. Looks like you had to lift and brake a bit early for 11.

Its possible. My tires were a bit hot too since I was trying to catch him for a few laps.

To be fair, I think I could brake later into more than half of the turns. I need to trust those W5s more. They really came alive in that session once I finally got them up to temp.

My real demon is still understeer. I can't tell how much of it is me and how much is setup yet.

What are the options for HPDE at Area 27? It's a bit of a drive from Seattle but may be worth it. Track looks amazing.

Googling has generally been unhelpful. I guess most orgs haven't set up dates for next year yet.

Would it be worth it to do afternoon lapping at Pacific Raceways in December? I was thinking of taking my car out for an event on the stock tires for some lower speed fun.

I haven’t done any winter weather events. I don’t think I can wait until March to go lapping!

Proformance has a full day on December 15th for $245. They say 3.5 hours of track time — no idea how they could actually do that — so if taken at face value it’s a decent deal. Could be sunny and bright or pouring rain or snowing.

I signed up for the Dec 15th event with Proformance. I've done winter days with them before and they're fun as long as they don't get cancelled due to freezing weather. They usually let you out for an hour or so, bring you back in for an hour while the novices run, and then let you run as much as you want until closing time. The one winter day I went it rained half way in to the event and a lot of people bailed. I think the rain is fun too and the all seasons I was on that day felt just as fast in the wet as the dry.

Where were you seeing 245? I looked and unless i missed something, their website showed 555 for the 15th bringing your own car. 245 would be great.
