I like it
Great colour
Like bumper
Like the wheels
Like the yellow accents on seats
Even the tails look ok on the yeiiow

If was shopping for new I would buy over any other existing version.

There have been several important yellow cars in my life. Our family restored a 1934 La Salle convertible coupe in the early sixties with an original (or as close as CIL could come) yellow colour.

In 2000 a limited run of fifty Durham classic 1/43 die cast models where sprayed using the last of this special yellow automotive lacquer paint.

My father also owned a 1965 Corvair 180 Turbo which was originally yellow. He later resprayed it chartreuse metal flake. This was the first car I legally drove on the street.

My first yellow car was a 1974 Lotus Europa similar to this one.

I like yellow because it’s visible. A study back in the seventies showed that yellow was better for visibility than any other colour. Most emergency and police vehicles in Ontario where painted yellow for decades for this very reason. Small cars like my Europa and now the BRZ are hard to see at the best of times. Bright, vibrant colours, especially yellow make ‘em pop. May not be your choice but it is mine.

I like that they didn’t go overboard on the interior accents. Depending on the price, the missing front lip and other aero kit pieces would not be a deal breaker for me.

As for the brakes, I believe I’ve already successfully explained my point of view in PM’s to individual people. Suffice it to say, those who do track days will mix and match parts and pads to their specific likes and needs. Regular street drivers will notice little difference as they do not over tax the regular brakes. However, for people like myself who enjoy the back roads aggressively and may do a couple of five lap “joy rides” around the local track once a summer the factory Brembo kit is just what we need. Plus, there is no worry about voiding the factory warranty and they sure fill up those big wheels nicely.

Nothing looks dumber IMHO than huge wheels and tiny little disc. I work with guy who put five spoke 20’s on his Mustang. I know he’ll never need the braking power he’s got, but he surely doesn’t need the grip from the huge tires either. It’s just silly looking.

So I guess that was it! We won't see any other REAL advancement till 2020. I wasn't convinced with the model refresh and I am not convinced again. Apologies but I don't consider an advancement the +5hp, the Sachs suspension which was available back in 2012, the more stickers and BRZ logos and the limited edition colors. Subaru could do it, but it looks they have other priorities. Let's hope that they'll manage to make the second generation ...

Btw., many thanks to the guys in the 86EXPO.

they already confirmed a second generation.

You're missing a ton of things included in the current refresh. You have to remember, it's a refresh, not a second generation.

They have hinted at a second gen but never really "confirmed" it officially. The only ones saying there will be a second gen are the click baits and blogs that took those hints and ran with them. Statements from unnamed sources and twisted out of context quotes from named ones does not equal an official statement.

This is a different yellow than the 1.0RS right? The color looks more dull.

The outside looks ok, the interior is hideous though. I thought the orange "camel" 2.0RS interior was bad, but this just looks tacky. And I usually love yellow cars...

It's official because I said so.

Carry on, love.

Have you seen the camel in real life? The pictures are way off in colour. It actually looks really good with the paint colour.

I am talking here about Subaru and if STi could offer a better car. Our car had from the beginning a great potential, but also some imperfections. Maybe for some of you it is perfect, but many old timers Subarists were laughing after driving it for first time. We don't have any official report of other changes that they transformed the new base car. If they did it, why not offer a test drive event? Let the GT86/BRZ owners drive the new car and see the difference! Additionally, don't forget that in Subaru terms it is a second model within the same platform. The actual (mild) refresh was back in the 2015 model. This is what Subaru is doing till now.
