If you have a Bachelor's in something, you can't be working towards a Doctorate in anything unless you have a Master's.

If you have an advanced understanding of human metabolics/structure/function as you say, then you know that performance enhancing drugs are short term pathways to shortlived better performance and short term pathways to major health issues and death. Choosing those pathways says absolutely nothing positive about your intellect or life choices. On the other hand, according to another denizen of this forum, we as human beings are nothing more than meat-covered machines, so who cares.

Of course, I could be wrong. Nah.
You may wish to rethink that. In the US, it is quite common for a person with a bachelors degree to enroll directly into a PhD program, without first getting a masters degree. In Europe, not so much. Canada is somewhere in between.

The Internet tells me so.

Masters are often consolation prizes for PhD failures.

Not that I'm against men getting oiled up and swole to impress their male friends....it's just not my cup of tea.

A bit like Harley riders who dress like leather clad LBGTWSQGHTFDJ pirates and form their "man" clubs.

Each to their own I say.

'Boosted' car, 'boosted' life and "boosted" ego.. 'born again boosties'... BTW, did I ever mention my lovely boss?? I'm considering a 'fuck off' boostie thingy for my car.

Thanks, Humfrz....obviously, I didn't know that. In my area, I've never seen anything other than the Bachelor's-Master's-Doctorate progression, wth lots of folks in my fields doing each one at a different school. Master's was as far as I went, and then only because it was required by my day gig, Oh well....learn something new every day.

lol thanks for the replies everyone, should have known better to ask the car community lol.
if i can just say one thing:
its my pet peev when people call doctorates PhD's
I PhD means you are a doctor of Philosophy
a MD is a doctor of Medicine
a DPT is a doctor of Physical therapy
there are many others
so you dont get a PhD in Physical Therapy, just because someone is a Dr. doesnt mean they have a PhD, they could have a MD, DPT etc.

Doctor of philosophy in a certain area. A doctor of philosophy in physics, for instance.
Philosophy is the mother of all disciplines.

correct, there are many many degrees under the phd umbrella, thats why people just assume if you are a doctor, u have a phd. but there are many other doctorates out there too, OTD(doctor occupational therapy), DNP(doctor Nurse Pracritioner) just to name a few

Not to mention the DOA, which is a very popular advanced degree, especially among long term performance-enhancing-drug-users.
