MPH Carbon Fiber hood with reverse scoop and NACA ducts!

So Joel Marsh from MPH (http://www.marshpowerhousefab.com/) just made me a one off carbon fiber hood with reverse scoop and functional NACA ducts! He is soon to be making these for production availability! Check it out mounted on his car. I go up to pick it up soon! This will be for some serious heat extraction for my Driven Fab EFR turbo kit and with functional NACAs, I will be keeping cool air flowing over the coil packs.

OE hood weighs in at 14.2lbs with many carbon hoods being many pounds heavier than that. This hood is weighing it at 8lb12oz

The fact that it's functional and lighter is great, but how much would one of these cost?

So the photos above are actually a couple weeks old. Heres a fresh update from Joel. Actual CFM and temp data on the NACA ducts. WOW. Im impressed. So while the reverse scoop is actively pulling out hot engine bay heat, these NACAs are forcing cool ambient air down below. My setup will drop these vents down by the coil packs but could also be routed to brakes, in the cabin, up girls skirts... WHERE EVER!

Also... for anyone who is saying, "what the hell is a NAKA DUCK". You may recognize these off of a GTR hood. Well NEWS FLASH, ASSHOLE! Nissan didnt invent the NACA duct. NACA did. Known today as NASA (you may have heard of them).

Check out this informative link and learn you something today. http://www.formula1-dictionary.net/naca_duct.html

I've always wondered with these vented hoods, if water going into them when it rains is an issue.

No more than it being an issue on any Evo, Ferrari, Viper, Vette, etc.

Wondering if this will have clearance with the FBM Turbo Kit. Seems as though that vent drops pretty far down.

Wondering the same thing about the Edelbrock SC kit/intake. I really like the look of this hood (as far as all the vented ones go).
