Invidia Q300 Hp Gain

Hey guys,

Sorry if this has been asked. I could not find through the search. Is there any actual dyno people have done with the exhaust? I was wondering if there is any actual torque or horse gain!

Catbacks on this car will typically net you around 5 whp give or take. An extra pony or two is negligible, pick the catback with the sound/looks you like most. If that's the Q300, then get the Q300. If you're concerned about weight, I think someone started a thread listing weights of various exhausts as well.

Its safest to assume a catback is going to net you zero gains, and just to pick one that you like the look and sound of.

This. You will find more gains with front pipe and headers. Just get the best sounding and looking exhaust you can afford. If it gets you some gains then great.

I'm sure manufactures wouldn't mass produce a product if it didn't show any results but who knows.

You're absolutely correct. No aftermarket manufacturer would mass produce a product if it didn't show positive sales results. If it actually produces some modest hp/tq gains, icing on the cake.

Welcome to the 86 tuner world where owners happily pay $100 per whp for bolt-ons and tunes and then brag about it.

You don't get much power out of a naturally aspirated 2L from bolt ons... Headers and a front pipe are decent gains per dollar if you can find something fairly cheap.
