Also new here! Belgian bloke with a passion for driver oriented cars. My favorite one is my '94 968 Club Sport, but my '13 GT86 is a close second. I feel that the GT86 is the last of the breed: nimble, light, NA, MT, LSD and yet also reliable, comfortable, fairly practical and affordable. I also used to own a Lotus Elise S1 111S, but I hardly got around to driving it... That's how good a GT86 is...

Hello, everyone! After 10 years driving a base-model 2003 Tundra (I was its third owner), I made the switch to a 2019 86 TRD SE at the end of July. This car has made driving fun again! I've already installed a navigation system and an armrest into my new ride, and I'm looking forward to amping up (literally!) my stereo system in the near future. Thanks to all of you who have posted so much useful information on this site. I hope to add to the database when I get a little more experience with this car.

Seems I have the right problem. Bought a newer house with a 4.5 car garage. Now I just need to fill it (but all the money went to the house LOL). My wife wants a GT500, but I want something lightweight that handles well. I considered any Miata, but I'm tall in the legs. RX-7 was a neat contender just because not many people understand that apex seals wasn't the problem of the rotary engine so much as it was the garbage Renesis gen-1 platform in the early RX-8. But, I'm not really about that pre-mixing life. I like to drive my cars more than turning the wrench. So now I'm here! Researching all kinds of setups. I'm confident a stock BRZ/86 will suit my needs (although an UEL header would complete me for the rumble and the higher low-end torque... already searched some of the sticky pages, very well written up!). I'm looking forward to spending some time with y'all.

Long time lurker. I finally got my hands on my Neptune Blue 2019 86 this past March. It's pretty lonely for a GT86 here in Upstate New York!

Been lurking without an account for I guess 6 or 7 years or however long since this thing started. Finally got my GT 86 Hakone AT this last Friday and ditched my old Mk 4 GTI Manual. I can finally handle an on ramp with joy, respond confidently to freeway traffic, enjoy the hills, AND it's actually quite luxurious! This is the best purchase I've ever made hands down and obviously the best car community that exists.

I had a 1978 Golf GTI when I was in high school. First autocross car. I had so much fun with that car. Replaced the 13 inch stock rims with 15 inch gold BBS and a full blown track suspension, completely stripped with a half cage.

I put a big valve ported head, header, ported manifold, lightened flywheel, big throttle body, and other goodies on it. It would go to 8.5k rpms in a second. I could embarrass v8s from light to light with ease.

Here is a pic. I noticed this is before cage and driving light grill. I wish I kept it, but you can't keep them all.

Hi all. New member but long term lurker. Happy owner of a 2015 Liquid White 86 GT here in Australia. As it is my only car and DD, I've kept it mostly stock, but now it is out of warranty looking at some subtle but tasteful mods like coilovers, new wheels etc... depends on how the budget goes!
