Curious, any idea of when they would be ready for shipment? Thanks!

You will find the stock intake with a tune will make the same power as an aftermarket intake with a tune.

What if it's Perrin's 3" intake? I have one of those with a tune and was planning on getting the BPB with it.

Has there been any attempts to length tune intakes on this car? Or is it not feasible with engine bay space?

Length and diameter tuning as well as transitions there SHOULD be some power to be had...

Sorry if I confused the original question. Our BPB will add power and torque to any existing mod on your car.

The aftermarket intakes manipulate the maf sensor voltage, this is where the extra power comes from. Other than that there is not much to be had as the stock one works quite well. The aftermarket intakes are only beneficial if you are not going to tune the car.

It might fit if you take the cover off, that's what I plan on doing.

I took it off and measured from the highest point... I still had about 30mm of clearance

You are going to trade looks for performance? Strut bars look kool but power is what these cars lack

Can't deny that, haha. But the strut bar was a gift to me, so I'm a little attached to it I may eventually pull it or switch to a different brand, but for now I plan to hold off for a bit. On the bright side, It's a 3-piece, so I only need to replace the bar connecting the struts, and not the whole thing

Probably not as helpful on an FI setup as NA as the dynamics of air being forced into an engine are different than when being drawn into an engine. I'm not an expert so don't ask me to elaborate: this is just what I remember from physics class and reading about motors.

Aftermarket intakes might be useful in the area where these blocks shine. Testing seems to be indicating that the factory intake becomes a limiting factor at high rpms. Even if the intake you select does not cheat the MAF sensor, if you have made mods that are moving more air at high rpms, a less restrictive intake should allow those mods to move even more air.
FI systems do away with the factory intake for two reasons;
1) It's big and in the way.
2) It's at its limit and FI needs access to a lot of air.
It's a decent system, but it was designed for an engine that was set up a certain way. It looks to be just enough to handle the factory engine. Once you start making other changes, you need to look at changing the intake too.
At least that's what I get from all the reading I've done.
Just changing the intake all by itself won't accomplish much, but changing it as a supporting mod for other mods makes sense.

EDIT: As Crawford pointed out further along, there is a third (probably #1) reason.
3) MAF sensor scaling on the stock intake is insufficient for a serious FI system.

^^ IMO, the only reason most FI kits ditch the factory airbox is because it's in the way and doesn't work with the plumbing they need to run.

The Innovate kit runs the stock airbox without issue at all.
