I found out that the older FRS/BRZ OEM wheel has deeper packets than the newer 2017+ OEM Premium wheel.

Pic of the 25mm spacer with replacement 17mm lugs.

Older FRS/BRZ wheel. Narrower but has more depth for thin spacers.

2017+ OEM wheel. Less depth but not so narrow.

I believe the reason you'd want narrower spacers for PP wheels is they are 0.5" wider than non-PP with the same offset, which means they poke 6mm more

I ran 32mm spacers front and rear for about a year. No issues, and I definitely don't drive timidly. As long as you use quality hubcentric spacers and torque them to spec you should be fine. If you go this route, it will rub on the rear bumper tab. Also, I'm lowered like 2.25"-2.5" on coilovers.

What's the consensus on eBay spacers? Are they any good or total crap? Talking about the bolt-on hub-centric type, not slip-on.

I'd like to know this as well. The Blox spacers on ebay look decent. I read some reviews on the Tesla forum that said they were fine.

There are 2 school s of thought.

1. Its a hunk of metal, and some studs, what could go wrong.
2. Cheap spacers are made with cheap materials, and they are the only thing holding your wheels on.

One thing I've noticed on the cheap spacers is they use 10.9 grade studs. Seem like the higher end ones all use 12.9 grade studs. Not sure how much of a difference that makes.

Get decent kit!! Don't waste money on junk, junk that could put you, your passengers and road users lives at risk!! Not worth considering!

I have a 2016 FR-S lowered about 1.5" on stock wheels. At the recomendation of this thread, I got 20mm front spacers and 30mm rear spacers. The rears fit about perfect, but the fronts are sunk into the wheel well a bit and not flush. If I had to do it again, I would get 30mm spacers front and rear for ideal fitment.
