Depends on your goal. Want to be a neurosurgeon? You need a Plan 4. Want to run your own business? Probably Plan 3. Want to be a teacher? Plan 2. I can't think of an area where 1 fits except professional student or just a hobby.

Others fall in-between.

It all depends on the books, if you actually read them, and if you understand them...

Depends on what you want to do. If a certain degree is required to be hired in your desired line of work, then I guess ya gotta get a degree, no? If it's not required, then I can think of lots more efficient ways to gain skills, knowledge, and experience than what a lot of college degree programs have become in the last decade or so. I don't know about the $40K o' books, either.. seems like you could maybe save some of that dough and do a little school'o'hard-knocks, on-the-job/apprenticeship learn-by-doing type of activity... or a lot of it. Of course, if you want to do neurosurgery, maybe the trial-and-error model isn't appropriate...

I got my degrees 'cause they were required in case I ever found myself wanting to teach in public schools. That wasn't the original plan, but family responsibilites let me in that direction and it worked out fine. I also have a Master of Music degree in Performance that isn't worth the paper it's written on. If you can play well, you'll get hired. If you can't, no amount of paperwork is gonna help you out unless you simply want to be a poser teaching at some university that doesn't know any better (yes, those guys exist.. and really tick me off). There are, of course, LOTS of cats who play great, teach great, AND have degrees.

Soooo, Pilot... whatchawannado?!? Don't tell me the glamour of a professional pilot's life is wearing thin?!?!? Just kidding.. I know it's a tough life especially in the airlines.. You're corporate, though, aren't you?

What about the ones that weren't so prime, but still fairly prim?

Im conflicted on which direction to go now...

I'll have more than enough time to spend either way. I mean if I really wanted to make it work, I can do a loop around the US but don't want to risk a speeding ticket

Now, here's a serious question to all the married guys/gals. Recently I got engaged & we were figuring out the wedding date, time & other stuff (which btw sucks)... now, here the main question, which day you guys count for anniversary? What I mean is, do you guys count the day that you guys sign the document (marriage license)? Or day that had the wedding? I'm assuming not all the city hall are open on the weekend. We were thinking of getting married on Sat, so document stuff have to be done before that (like Thursday or Friday)

Interesting. At least here it's usually a Saturday thing so same day event (I'm not married but have attended enough weddings already). The city hall opens on Saturdays.

Isn't your wedding the moment you guys sign the legal doc and becomes official?
