I would suggest that you reply (again) and explain to him/her that you are just a low level, garden variety type, mod, with only one power ...... and that is to ban people who bug you and piss you off .......

Except for all that Vietnamese furry midget fart porn, my history is pretty clean.

That's not the point though.

I love it when someone sends an email to a practically company wide distribution list, then 20 subsequent emails from people who "reply all" asking why they got the email.

Then 100 people will start replying all saying please take me off the distribution hahahahaha!

It basically sniffs out all the retards in the company. At my last place with ~20,000 users the CTO had to step in a few times to tell everyone to STFU.

Your web browser is already doing this so it's just one more company collecting and selling your data. I'm not thrilled by it but I doubt is the end of freedom. Also, you are supposed to be able to opt out

Someone needs to tell their IT department to either turn off reply-all or restrict the Corporate distribution lists to a specific group of senders.

Alternatively, the senders need to be lectured on the use of bcc for large distributions that are not intended to have a reply.

I was almost the guy to tell them "if you don't know wtf it is, don't reply to it. It's obviously not meant for you". But after about 10 emails someone beat me to it, and he even said he put the list on BCC, but then there were still people who replied to the original email even after that

I'm not sure exactly how many people are on this list, but it's definitely thousands.

Depends on what browser you're using though...
And whether or not you're signed into your Google account... Or Facebook... Or accounts connected to those...
Lots of factors actually, but it's not like it's impossible to not leave a meaningful trace.
