Stance/hellaflush, Why?

Why? I'm curious as to why anyone would do this to a perfectly good car.

"flush", adjective: Even or level with another surface.

Hate to be picky but english is my first language. and all these "hella flush" BS pics are anything but flush.

There was already a thread about this and it was locked: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33699

TL;DR Most of the hellafail crew here knows its dangerous and stupid to run suspension and wheel setups like that but they don't care as long as it looks "ill" when pictured in the parking lot and when out driving recklessly on public roads...

...until shit like this inevitably happens from a severe lack of tire contact and/or lack of suspension travel

Even still they continue the fad for some unknown reason. There are a few notables here that you can tell love the negative attention.

In before the lock. Let's see how long this thread lasts.

Well, that's the age-old question of the century, isn't it?

Ask any stancer/hellaflusher "Why?" and they will undoubtedly reply with one or multiple of the following:
-"It's just a lifestyle, y0"
-"Racecar-inspired, y0"
-"Because the lower you go, the bigger your balls, y0"
-"Just... because. I just like it, y'know?"
-"Haters gon' hate, y0"
-"Cus I'm the illest feggit, y0"

They do it because they love the attention, negative or positive. It's like they feed off of it and anyone that doesn't like it is considered a hater.

Why do people put hydraulics on a car?
Why do people put custom wheels on a car?
Why do people paint hideous things on a car?
Why even mod a car?

To each their own.

All of those things listed aren't directly linked to causing accidents (maybe hydraulics can be linked)

Thus affecting us all.

To each their own til one of the tardicus maximi is "hellaFlush" on top of your car.

That's not my point.

Even a slammed car can cause your car to go out of control, if you do it wrong with stock wheels.

My point is, let people do what they want and spend more time on worrying about your own car/issues/goals.

10 years ago, when drifting first became "mainstream" with Formula Drift/D1GP, there were a ton of haters. Now, it's becoming one of the "accepted" forms of legitimate motorsports.

Hellaflush only became a name because one company chose to promote a movement of cars based on it. There's an entire subset of car guys dedicated to VIP cars that promoted it from the beginning... in the end, we all share a hobby.

If people want to waste their energy and bandwidth talking trash about things they don't like, then that's your cup of tea. In the end no one cares.

You are not getting my point.

I couldn't care less what other people do to their cars. Except when THEIR hobby ends up crashed into MY hobby because they are running with a low contact patch on their tires because "YOLO".

If all these cars were garaged and not on the street, GREAT! But I see them on the road all the time.
