@8R6 Not the best pics, but here they are. Stopping power is great and consistent. I really like this kit for my usage. It's larger than stock rotor, so it fills up the wheel area really well. One slight issue I had during/after the install was once the shims were attached to the pads and installed, it was ridiculously tight and the pad would drag to the rotors. I tried to wear out the pad, but it was keep dragging and didn't want to glaze the rotor. Ended up removing the shims and applied brake grease for now. It's so far quiet on braking. It's no big deal to buy shim set and apply once pads are worn down, or purchase thinner pad (0.65" I think. This one is 0.80" thick).

thanks for the pics man! appreciate the tip about the brake pads too. yeah these are supposed to be 0.80" i wonder if that's just an issue with the pads or if the calipers. the calipers are supposed to take 0.80"

@Rafi@RR-racing - have you guys heard from other users of the Sport Performance kit having this issue with the pads being too thick? just wondering if this is a isolated case or a common issue but easy fix? thanks!

I believe I saw Rafi's post saying that thinner pads can be installed. As long as back plate is same, but it's just less material.

Looks like rust on the rotor from where the rotor wasn't coated. They only coat where they expect pads to never touch, but the Wilwood pads clearly don't slide onto the rotor as deeply as whatever pads were intended for that rotor originally.

As person above mentioned, pad doesn't cover the entire rotor surface. Rotor is stock 2004 Impreza STI size. Since it's bare metal and exposed, rust line is formed. It doesn't bother me much though. I'm not sure on stage 3&4 kit, but up to stage 2 will have those rust line. Who cares, it brakes great!

You're not seeing it yet. If you look closely between rotor surface and caliper, you'll see that the pad is not touching the rotor entirely. As he uses the brake and get rained on, inner circle will show rust.

If you've already ordered, why not measure the inner circle with pad on top and spray with caliper spray? That will help. Any little spray on rest of surface will disappear as you bed the pads in.
