How is the stock battery plus the 2 smaller ones working out? When I get this I would like to keep my factory battery so my sub/amp has enough juice. Maybe just adding the 2 batteries instead of replacing 1 with 3 is a better solution?

Sounds like it might be a better solution for you, since you need the extra capacity. There is no advantage to the replacement of the stock battery other than the smaller packaging. Essentially, you are just adding 2 batteries. The replacement of the existing one is making it easier to fix the 3 in the same location.

Keeping the factory battery will be next to impossible unless find another location in the engine bay for the SLA batteries powering the unit. You sir might be interested in going with the Oddessy PC680 Battery.

I think he's referring to fenton's post here talking about a new battery tray which allows for the stock battery to remain.

I'm not 100 percent sure but I thought Rob said it might with the larger tray.

The one I'm running now is just a little bit smaller than stock.

The 680 isn't enough to keep up with a decent audio system, even a small one. You'll be going though alternators about once a year. Atleast I was on my last car with a similar setup.

The 925 will work well though and is only a bit bigger, 6.64x7.05x5.04 for the 925 and 7.15 x 3.00 x 6.65 for the 680. I ran the 925 for a few years with about 1000 watts rms and using most of daily.

Stock battery is 48 Ahr ~500CCA (going from memory)
Fenton has a U1 equivalent starter (340CCA) ~ 35 Ahr and a Grp24 battery tray

Using a larger Group 27 battery tray allows the use of a Grp26R battery (500CCA).

There are a dozen possible combination for the battery conversion/fitment, but the stock battery is slightly to large, but can be replaced with the Grp26R or trunk mounted.

I will offer 2 versions.

BuTang has a high powered stereo amp.

I have read every post but cannot remember. When will the kit be available and what is the price of the kit, including everything needed for installation?
Thanks,
Steve

Nope sorry but you're wrong. The only numbers that anyone mentions are the ones on the Phantom website they show a kit for a truck for just under 1700 and for a VW for about 1400 everyones hoping it will be about 1500 but it's all speculation. If following the entire thread, you will see there are upgrades to the VW kit already. I am sure an announcement will come along soon.
