So Frank JUST called me back less than 5 minutes ago and this is the conversation we had:

Me: I emailed you earlier about placing a deposit for the Subaru BRZ that is supposed to released soon.

Frank: Yes, as of right now all deposits (guessing he met new ones) are being placed on hold. Corporate Subaru is telling us that ALL dealerships are only getting 2 cars.

Me: ...on initial release or the first year?

Frank: No, JUST 2.

Me: ...that doesnt make sense. Do you have any idea when you'll receive more or get another batch of cars?

Frank: No. Right now I'm trying to find out more information from Corporate. It doesn't make sense either so I'll let you and everyone else know what they tell me...thanks for being understanding.

Yes the conversation was short. 1minute to be exact.
So, as of right now some of these rumors look to be true but I'm not liking this misinformation or lack of information from Subaru. It's really starting to boggle my mind as to why give your dealerships ONLY 2 vehicles of a new car that you've put so much "pride" in making?

thats stupid this car is badass and I really want to buy it..but its making it seem like if your not VIP then you cant get this car...lol i dunno...

At any rate, lets relax and collect our thoughts, no need to be a mob. I assume those that ordered will get their car in the order of who deposited first if they want that vehicle that gets to the lot first.

I kinda hope it will be a first come first serve...like I understand people left a down deposit but let's say there's 3 cars there and those three people aren't there and they can't make it till next week...what about those people that are already there and are ready to buy..if that makes any sense

I just gave Frank a call regarding our group buy.

It's been shot down because corporate will allow 1 premium and 1 limited model TO EVERY subaru dealer. In the U.S. 2 CARS. for the ENTIRE YEAR. Everyone who had put down a deposit will get refunded. EXCEPT for the first 2 people who had put down a deposit or had pre-ordered with a large amount or full amount for the car. The dealers are selling it above msrp for those 2 vehicles.

I'm sorry. I tried my best.


HOWEVER!

If you want a group buy for any other subaru vehicles.. I can help you get $500 above dealer invoice for imprezas, WRX, outbacks, etc any other subaru vehicle.

Next year the 2014 model will have more released making it a larger group of vehicles. THAT will be a group buy and I spoke with Frank about it so we WILL MOST LIKELY get discount on add-ons, extended services for that group and the subaru VIP program WILL WORK for that deal. Guaranteed.

Pretty much, but I'd say just wait it out.

More money to save tbh. Looks like shits going to hit the fan with how the economy is looking.

Yeah honestly, It's just a waiting game... maybe some things will change who knows. They might not even be hitting the dealers till June and who knows when the next batch will be released. Hope they have no problems with the FRS on the other side of things.
