I'm sure he would have no absolutely no problem with a complete foreigner stranger who's not locally licensed or insured, to drive his one of a kind never to be manufactured again incredibly expensive rare sports car.

Have fun and take some GoPro videos when you go drive it!

Send a message via AIM to tigermack
I change my oil every 3000 miles or a year, whichever comes first. In that case, I change it every year for the BRZ.

The OEM studs are prone to failure, especially if you over torque your lugs.

After the first break, a lot of people just replace all their studs with ARP studs and run open ended lugs.

I always do 89ftlbs. The lug nut on the one that was broken all of sudden seized. It was so hard to remove that I needed to use a breaker bar and poof it broke in half! I remembered all screwed in by hand easily. I was trying get my brake pads and fluid changed and all of a sudden that thing happened. Another one to do for the prep for the track on Saturday. That will be my next priority mod!

Yeah, sounds like you didn't do anything wrong. I think the threads are just super weak and get slightly deformed with repeated lug installation/removal. And then if they're slightly deformed, the lug will get crossthreaded as you try to install/remove it.

Sorry about the headache.

Time to move up to ARP studs. And to brush a small amount of anti-seize on the studs before putting the wheel on.

ARP studs and even with the OEM studs, I torque at 86 (double click of the torque wrench). The manual says 89 lbs, but I like 86
