Absolutely not true!
My car has never had anything other than 93 and it chirps.

Which creates this noise. Toyota has just developed a new pump that will
Not produce this noise and operates the same. This is something will beg you to do. I didn't really care to much because I was aware of the issue and that it was harmless. But they did not want to take chances

The fix does work

Same. I don't have any gas stations local where I can get ethanol-free 93 though. I fill up with Shell or Chevron 93 octane. Still chirps loudly at idle, and I have the "green-dot" pump.

I just picked up my car 6 days ago...still have the gas that the dealership put in, so I don't know what they used
I heard crickets this morning....I have less than 300km on

Should I call the dealership to have them look at it?

I have used nothing but Shell 91 V-Power since day one and I have had the crickets.
As reported by others, it usually comes on hotter days after driving for a while.
Ordered the new pump but now I'm wondering if there is any point installing it since some of you are saying it just comes back.

That's weird. It usually starts after the car has been warmed up and you have driven it a little.

Hummm

I have had my pump replaced with the revised pump and have driver 5,000+
With no Crickets. The octane boost from 91 -100 octane absolutely kept my pump quite before I had it switched out. I am certain people will have differing opinions on that. But this is what I did and so far so good.

After 2 track days, particularly the recent one in 115 degree heat last Sunday, the chirping has gotten really loud even right from start up. This is after having the pump replaced once. I just might go back to dealer for another.... Ridiculously loud chirping.

So far it looks like a coin flip if the new pump will fix the issue or not. I'm staying put waiting until there's a confirmed fix

Because numerous people have indicated they used nothing but 93 and they have chirps.
