CEl Codes Help! p2271, P0138
Hey All!
I have a 2017 86 running a stage 2+ tune with catless headers and a TRD exhaust. I've had this setup since August 2022 with no issues since this morning. Car struggled for a couple of seconds to start and got the following codes. After idling for a few minutes you can tell it's running rich. P2271 and P0138 Do i go ahead and replace the O2 sensors or is there something else I'm missing? Car has about 110,000km (68k miles) TIA |

Keep in mind, dtc’s are symptoms, like your car saying “hey I have a headache and my stomach hurts.”
P0138 is bank one sensor 2 high voltage. P2271 is bank one sensor 2 stuck rich. It does sound like that sensor is bad but I would also double check the wiring and connections to make sure something didn’t cause the issue and you will have repeat issues. Remember to check wiring on both sides of the connection.

Are you running O2 spacers by any chance?
