Wrong sir. If you're the only person running a cermaic core and someone points it out and explains why it's a bad idea, you take that into account. That is the purpose of a thread like this. I want to see this header be the best option on the market and something as simple a a cat switch can make that happen. Why do you think I'm so adamant about this!?

I will stop posting in this thread if FT86SpeedFactory would like me to. It's their thread and if they don't want my input, I can accept that.

I'd also be willing to pay a little extra for a metallic core cat, simply for the longevity. A ceramic core cat wouldn't be too bad if the header was designed similar to P&L's with the cat portion of the piping being easily removable/replaceable.

Does anyone know what kind of cat the other catted headers are using, though? P&L, FA20Club, HKS, others?

I'm interested in this header. I don't really plan on going the SC route, but who knows. Either way, I saw some mentioning of the cat only lasting 80k miles a few pages back, or rather, it only lasting x amount of miles. We have a lifetime warranty on the header itself but not the cat. And the cat isn't removable. So if/when the cat fails, if that's what they mean by it lasting x amount of miles, how is it fixed? Can it be fixed? Or do you buy a new header?

I don't think you've quite made your point yet. So please, post harder.

Well, I know what I am buying next.

THANK YOU!

I have a Perrin CAI, Overpipe, Berk front catted, and Perrin resonated sitting in the garage. Might as well complete the ensemble before bolting anything on!

When can we expect more testing/video's should you be providing them? Your stock results alone seem godly. Would love to see what you guys can do with the basic intake/exhaust and tune!

I'm actually quite disappointed to learn that ft86 speed factory is just 2 people. How could we rely on ANY kind of warranty??? That is no selling point to me. You could go out of business literally tomorrow, and then I have no warranty.

Consider me a troll, or whatever, but I'm just not sold on it. Sometimes you need people to challenge you, and I guess that's what I'm here for.

I applaud you, ft86 speed factory, for what you are doing for the platform in terms of development and getting parts to consumers. And I mean no disrespect in any of my posts.

They are JB Autosports also. They were that before they ever focused on our platform. They are very successful and I don't see anything happening to them anytime soon.

FT86 Speedfactory is one of the most helpful, customer-focused, and involved vendors on here. If you don't like this product, great, don't buy it. I have seen these guys back their customers on here time and time again when manufacturers sent out defective/damaged products.

They will sell to plenty of other people.

The only thing I thought of when reading this was Mr Wonderful (Kevin O'Leary) screaming "what if you got hit by a bus" on Shark Tank

Hats off to ft86speedfactory though. They are definitely busting their asses for this community.
