hi I am a 14 year body tech just wanted to give a little advice the factory pinch welds on a unibody car are not designed to left the wait of the car the best way to jack your car up is to go off the front k member an rear suspension members. An if you are going to jack your car up from the pinch welds you should always open the doors don't swing them open just un latch the door from the strikers. It does not happen often but you can actually bend the front a post on the car if you do not open the doors this can result in a door fitment issue. Im sure most of us know this but thought I would say anyways.

Interesting, jacking from the suspension is contradictory to what the owners manual states...

For the front, jack on the metal beam just in front of the skid plate and for the rear, jack from from the diff.

This is what I do and have had great results.

I use the steel harbot freight low profile high rise jack, and put my jack stands on subframe mounting points.

That's good, since the manufacturer calls for it

If you bend your pinch welds you are an idiot.

I guess I am an idiot.

This topic gets overanalyzed way too much.

I just put the stands on the jack points, and jack the car as close to them as possible. Bending or not bending the weld is really 110% dependent on how much force you apply and how fast you apply it. Move slow and you're fine. I haven't bent mine in the 15ish times I've been on stands and lifts since November.

My back ones look fine, but my front ones look F'ed and I feel like a moron about it. It doesn't seem to impact the performance of the car, though, and I'm hoping the hockey pucks help out a little too.

Regardless of how high I need to Jack the car, I ALWAYS use a small piece of 2×4 wood to cushion the jack point. The wood is soft enough from a vertical pressure to absorbe the "rib" of the jack point but strong enough horizontally to structurally prevent the "rib" from kinking.

Yeah mine are beat up a little. 0 fucks given, it's not a structural issue and no one is going to crawl under my car at a car meet to check out my jacking points LOL. That lip under the A pillar pinch weld is pretty flimsy and folded over almost the first time I used it.

I have a pinch weld adapter for my floor jack, I got it from Eastwood. I've had it for over 10 years and it works great. It fits in the opening and can be swapped out in seconds. I also have a rubber one for when I have to lift by the rear diff.

It comes in handy when swapping wheels or rotating the tires, I can lift both wheels off the ground on one side.
