Funny how a thread about a 2017 one piece dash part turns into a headlight and bulb installation discussion.

I'm still in the process of swapping every exterior halogen light I can (currently doing the license plate lights), but changing any of the headlight components is too much of an undertaking for me considering you have to remove the front bumper and undo a ton of wiring and clips.

Overall I just really like the way the new headlights are designed. I like how the turn signals are an LED strip instead of a single light, and the boomerang is much more aggressive and noticeable. It's not something I would swap right away, but I could see myself doing it a few years from now if it's possible.
Your BRZ came with halogen lights...?

No, no, no! You haven't been back long enough to notice the pattern. Those threads that get derailed evolve that way on their own. Either the original topic had no real point, the OP got their answer within the first couple of posts and 200 "me too" follow ups were redundant or the thread ran out of steam on the topic. Those threads devolve to entertainment. This thread is still active, has a topic of interest to many members and still has value. It will live on like many such threads that go (relatively) unmolested and then will just fade away.

If anyone is able to take an educated guess, would removing the new antenna be exactly the same process as this in the 17s?

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17154

Wrapping my roof black in a few days once the materials get here... any help will be appreciated.

Most likely the same procedure, it doesn't appear the sharkfin has changed.

Actually I just had the opportunity to check out a local guy's new 86. It feels like a firmer, coarser alcantara, and matches the trim on the seats.

I do agree with the messy dirt trap part though.

Maybe the one I sat in had the grain running in a different directions or something but the trim on the seats and the dash looked very different.
Or, the simple fact that I don't like the grey inserts and silver stitching in the seats one little bit my have skewed my perception.

The Toyota piece!?!?! Wonder why it is more expensive then the Subaru one. I mean a lot of parts are on the twins, but that seems like a weird one.

Interesting. I know last time I looked the Subaru part was on indefinite backorder and then that piece pops up on ft86speedfactory.

I don't think anyone ever took the time to track down the Toyota counterparts number.
