JDL turbo kit thread

I am disappoint that there's been no updates or new threads since the original thread got moved.

And it was a legimate reason for moving it. 17 pages of technical discussion and one mention of pricing; so clearly a commercial post.

My kit is almost ready to be shipped. Much excite.

My car has the kit on it eqipped with a PTE BB 5558. Working out some tuning issues as of now. I will hopefully have some update here in the next few weeks.

I've been discussing with my tuner the merits of a boost taper tune. I don't want/need more than 220kw/300hp. I'd rather have less power and be able to rape it harder. Plus I've gotten used to drifting it with 150whp, so double that will be awesome.

I'm thinking of running 10-12psi 3500-5500rpm, and then taper it down to 7psi after that. Should make for great midrange torque and response, which is what I'm after.

I have a kit coming at some point with a GTX2867R. I'm not planning on running a whole lot of boost on it day to day. I'll probably stick with a 8-9PSI WG spring and run off that most of the time.

The kit is great deal IMHO versus other ones out there. I don't really care about base maps and whatnot, there is no way I would drive the car without a custom tune. The only other kit I'm interested in seeing is the Full Race kit with the Borg Warner turbos but F-R stuff is always $$$.

Yes that would be mine. It is shipping via UPS?

I have some other parts to accumulate and decided to finish this autocross season in STX class, so it may be a few months yet before I actually get it installed.

Only limited to around 300whp peak on pump. But can still go for more mid and just taper off.
