So if we take the HKS Crank at 90mm and let's say add in 87mm pistons in a sleeved block application, our new displacement is:

0.7854 x 7569 x 90 x 4

= 2.14L

Going to 90mm pistons and sleeve is very risky and completely unnecessary. 87mm would be the absolute ideal and max here IMO

Wow 90mm, hell no !
Most id consider would be .5, and doubt it. Id rather coat/polish and do all those cool little things to the stock crank.

Sleeved overbore to 87mm, polished and balanced crank, built valvetrain good for 10,000rpm + T3 Turbo boooya. It's the winning combo for this car

That's 2.05L and high rev. A good turbo coming on around 4-5k rpm and going all the way to the end gives a good 5k rpm band, the extra 0.5L displacement will help the spool and low end a bit as well.

Just my two cents

That sounds familiar, but I've also more than once heard that over 2.12-2.15 might not work/be dangerous.

Can anyone confirm the stroke, or is this a wag?

*EDIT* looks like it is 90mm

So less than 4% displacement increase??

Anybody know the pin height or rod length?

D

I am very interested in the release date, pricing & power numbers of this kit. I purchased my 86 with 500hp in mind. If somebody from either Evasive or HKS could shed some light on this it would be greatly appreciated
