Man, that sucks. My car was just hit by a tire that came off another car on the freeway. Insurance determined that it wasn't my fault, but going through the paperwork and trouble sure is a pain in the behind. good luck with your car.

check the seams on the other side as well. often the shock goes right through to the other side and bulges the seams

Sucks but at least it isn't too bad. It's fixable. At least you don't have to worry about it being totaled out

The FR-S and BRZ are both super low. We have to remember that when driving and turning etc. Very easy to be hidden behind a line of cars, a big SUV or even a regular sedan. I am pretty sure with the twins you have to adopt a motorcyclists frame of mind when driving, make sure they see you before you dodge and dart.

Bad luck about the accident, I am happy you are okay.

I believe if chasis is damaged, the car is totalled under insurance standard.

While i agree that these car are low, and easily hidden. But in this case, op couldnt do anything else than that. It wasnt bad luck, it was the other bad driver.

Just drive faster than everyone else and you'll have less problems
