I just got my tires in and don't have them mounted on my new wheels yes.

I have a 18x8.75 +20, and the tires are 225/45/18. I'm lowered 1 1/2 inch give or take.

Do you guys think I'll have any rubbing issues. I'm not really worried about the wheels as I've test fit them. My concern is the 45 series tire being too tall.

That's a tall tire. Is there any specific reason you would have ordered a 45 instead of a 40 aspect ratio?

+20 offset on that width of rim will poke out quite a bit, but you said you test-fitted and they are okay so I assume you're going for stance? You will camber to ensure you don't rub on the fenders.

It's what I'm used to ordering and didn't really realize until they got here. I can send them back if needed, but I don't really want to.

My one and only concern is the tire being too tall. I have found a few photos with a 45/18 and it looks like I'll be fine, but Idk.

225/45-18 is def too tall. If you can exchange you may want to reconsider.

will 17x8 25 offset with 225/50/17 fit and not rub? i want the tire diameter to be a bit bigger than stock

Can I ask why you would want a larger diameter?

To each their own, I'm all for letting people do what they want to their cars. Some people do stuff for looks, some for function, or for whatever other reason. So not judging, but trying to understand your "plan".

ny roads suck. a bigger diameter tire will give me

pros...
1. a smoother ride (less shock from bumps and potholes, more absorbed by the tire) (not by much)
2. more ground clearance. (wont have to worry about the dips in the road as much. wont plow the snow (as much) with my front bumper in the winter).(not by much)
3. technically a higher top speed. (not by much)
4. technically less wheel spin on take off and shifting to second or third. (not by much)

cons...
1. decreased handling and areo dynamics (not by much)
2. slower acceleration / 0-60 time (not by much)
3. offroadish look if u wanna count that (i dont)

looks like the pros outweigh the cons in my situation.

17x8 +25 with 235/50/17 or 17x8.25 +30 235/50/17 will this fill all around with out rubbing?

My roads suck too, I feel your pain...
Sounds like you've done your homework and have made up your mind.

235/50R17 is just over an inch taller than stock, so keep in mind that you will always be travelling faster than your indicated speed by about 6.6%. With this tire, you will gain ground clearance of 13mm, about 1/2".

Wheel & tire combo should be okay, but you may be the first guinea pig for this setup. Perhaps do a search on here re; taller tire or such to confirm.

Pennsylvania roads are probably the worst in the country.

I ran 225/45-17 last winter and the slightly increased diameter helped with pot holes and no winter maintenance roads. :-)

Having said that... I personally would not run 235/50-17. But, its your machine.

8" +25 is going to be nearly 1/2" to 3/4" past the fender up front... Add camber (~ -2°) for some recovery. Rear will be flush.

i feel you on that. i took the car to tannersville a few times skiing it sucks in snow.

do i have to add camber? or will it rub if i dont? id like to not have to mess with the camber
