Spectacular. Ladies love it. Except the ones who don't like being topdown (or topless in my case) cuz it "messes up their hair".

I'm almost afraid to see what you think of my black/yellow interior...

Mostly, you don't see the blue inside, since it's dark. or you might have already gone blind.

While I'm not a huge fan of the CR interior color I like it because of what it represents.

If I were Honda I think I would have done red under the mesh, would have looked better IMO.

Since i already had a DD, i decided to buy a s2000 as a Weekend warrior/garage queen. Can't wait to have it in my hands next week!

2004 NFR S2000 - $18500
- US import 1.5 years ago from California - Still have to do a carproof for the car
- 69,000 km / ~43000 miles
- Black Interior (What was so bad about the red interior?)
- Comes with OEM Hard top
- Comes with Both Winter (on aftermarket wheels) and Summer (on OEM wheels) tires

On Inspection from a honda tech:
- Car fully checks out with no issues on electrical/mechanical
- VTEC kicks in smoothly (Damn is it scary to bring up the car to red line on 2nd gear on a busy street at that time - I have yet to drive a faster car)
- slightly bent jack points (wrong use of jack points)
- 2 small nicks on the rear bumper (either he backed into someone or someone backed into him).
- ALL Vin stickers on all body panels still
- a $2000 claim for a dent on the front fender

What needs to be fixed/repaired as soon as my hands get on it:
- clutch master cylinder leaking which has to be repaired
- a small tear on the hard top
- hardtop strikers (comes with the sale) (rattling noted by honda tech)
- 2 small nicks on the rear bumper (still thinking about it or not).
- Seat locks

My goals for the car:
- Hard top on 3/4ths of the year so the soft top doesn't get used/stretched/torn
- as close to 100% stock as possible
- Garage kept
- Driven only on summer days (either sunrise or sunset) with the top down (I can't wait for this feeling. I dont know what it feels like but I can tell its going to be awesome because just before sunset, I love lowering down my windows and opening my sunroof to have the warm air flow through the interior)

My DD is a 2012 Hyundai Elantra - this will get me to and from work so i can pay off for the S2000 and the DD. LOL

I was looking at an exige s260 final edition in 2012 and unfortunately, it was $91000 to get in one so i decided to just have a garage queen and a DD instead.
Good luck with the latch rattles for the top... my hardtop latches have rattled pretty bad (even though everything is tightened down and secure) since the day I got the car. Can really be annoying but I've gotten used to it at this point... luckily I love the car so much I let it slide lol. Sounds like a great S2K man... congrats on the pick up! You're going to love it

Bahahaha. There was a dude in a FFR Cobra at the C&C last weekend. It was in the teens that day. He had on a parka and a fur ushanka. I imagine something close to that except winter in Florida is how hot?

Holy moly.

This (read: my wife lol). My favorite time to go top down is summer nights, with summer mornings being a close 2nd. Perfect warmth where you're not just baking in the seat. Spring and fall are fantastic as well. To date I haven't found a car that provides me the same experience and smiles as having the top down with that engine screaming in VTEC up to redline. It's definitely unique and amazing

I'm with Dave on this one. Living in NC I would hardly ever put down the top during the summer. Just way too hot.

As to women in the car with the top down, they bitch too much about their hair

Varies quite a bit but generally 50s-70s. Lately it's been hitting some low 80s. Occasionally we'll have days with lows in the 20s and highs in the 40s, I still went top down during those days simply because in the summer you'd be sweating before you got out of the driveway.. not worth it.

Do it with a 70RR.

Now if only it was OEM quiet while cruising....

Have you tried my ghetto tissue paper or folded paper trick? I just wedge whatever I can find on the latch hook and there is no rattle.

Admittedly I haven't tried that technique yet, I need to give it a shot. I've more or less learned to live with it at this point... I had read from a lot of guys that the rattle would just come back anyway, but I think they tried something different than what you're talking about. I should make it a project to do in the next couple of weeks...

My CR is bone stock but my old AP2 at one point or another had a J's Racing 60RS Dual Ti exhaust, inlinePRO 3" custom exhaust, and a T1R 70R-EM single stainless exhaust. The J's was my favorite

lmao maybe I just need to start stuffing shit in there until it stops and call it a day

what's goofy about my situation is the latch itself moves slightly from left to right even when locked in place which is the rattle that i have. everything is tightened down as best i can but it's still there. is this the same sort of rattle you guys are experiencing?
