FWIW I just got 1.94 for 60 months, financing 22.5K. Credit score is over 780 and DTI is <5%.

I'm not sure which bank that's with but I'll post that once I get the car today.

anything over 400 would be a bit high for me,
I need payments to be within 10% of my income (I don't make that much )

Just make sure when you go shopping at the dealer that you never tell them you need a car at a specific payment per month..

100% agree, gives them FAR too much wiggle room to screw you over!

Disagree. Not in all instances

We told them we wanted to pay around 300 for my used 08 wrx with 8k miles on it. It was 25,5 at the time and with the 09's coming out with the better performance, I'm assuming they wanted to get the 08 off the lot and gave it to me for 17,9 to get right above 300.

Of course, if you tell them you can pay 550 for a 25,5 car, thats when you get screwed.

Oh and back on topic, I'm trying to do 6k down at 1.99. With a limited and TTL, that comes out to 433 a month.

Just FYI, my dealership informed me that new incentives are going to be announced (with some including the BRZ) on June 1st. I'd recommend waiting on securing financing until then if possible.

You can get 1.99% from Pentagon Federal if you pay 20 bucks to join one of their partners. I called and got it set up in 15 minutes.

You must have added every option on the car to get that price. You're FR-S will be $34700 after it's paid off!!!

395 a month, ~22.5K financed, 7250 down, BRZ-L, 1.94% interest for 60 months.

That was with Subaru credit (Chase bank).
