Carolina Dyno - FA20 Club Turbo Kit Installed & Tuned

We took this BRZ in to install a FA20club kit. With only 1050 miles on the car, we installed the turbo kit, ACT clutch and flywheel combo, and made a custom catch can setup.

We swapped out to the larger 3" filters after the pictures, but the smaller 2" filters will be an option. This breather eliminates the PCV system.

Don't know what's more impressive, the fact you decided to work with an FA20 kit or the fact that you got it to fit.

Might be just like AWD guys(shop), they swore by the kit and how perfect it was.

It definitely did not fit well, we didn't pick the kit out it was brought to us. The customer had major issues getting all his parts as well.

The intake on the turbo didn't fit, I basically had to re-make the whole downpipe, lots of hardware was missing, the drain line was to short, we had to cut the mounting bungs off both sides of the intercooler, the blow off valve is basically hitting the alternator, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some other issues as well. They also burnt the welds like crazy and then washed over them to make them look shiny so longevity is suspect as well.

On a more positive note, we used BRZEdit for the first time and it worked great, they have excellent customer service as well. I would definitely recommend it as a much cheaper alternative to EcuTek. I will say this is not a car to try and tune yourself unless you have EXTENSIVE experience or don't mind buying new parts. There are a lot of variables to adjust to get the most out of an engine as complex as the FA20.

Glad to hear a local shop to me isn't affiliated with fa20club slime..
Seems like everything they sell is total shite.. Here is yet another example..
Good to see a vendor close by with tuning knowledge of this car..

Happy to see you could get it together and helping this customer. Mine had fitment issues as well but not this bad. I thought they would at least get the front pipe right... Nope, had to hack that up too.

Don't! Don't! Look at what they said below. FA20Club makes garbage. Ptuning, Full Blown, and Greddy have good reps. Avo is a little shaky for some but mostly liked. SBD is almost exactly like Greddy and is cheap, but people are saying it's a knockoff of the Greddy. Works has a new kit that looks awesome to me, but it hasn't had any third party reviews.

FA20Club has a disgustingly bad history with board members. Stay away. The fact that Carolina Dyno got a kit to actually work is a testament to their skills.
