Watching The Fast and the Furious again for the lols. And I'm definitely loling. I never realized just how terrible of a driver Brian was. Also, the kudos to the extras for not facepalming every time the actors say something dumb

Big Saturday night in PA, huh?

Didn't you recently get married?

Why didn't you take your bride out for a nice dinner? Then out to a movie of her choice.

Now, I gotta go, pick up some fast food for my sweet pea -

(I let her pick the type of fast food - )

Already ate. She's off playing games online with friends.

Last night was the fun night. We had people over for a board game night. Played a couple rounds of Betrayal at Baldur's Gate and Codenames. Speaking of which, I wonder if there's a board game thread...

Board games - yep, I play a board game -

I even tried checkers once, but, I kept getting beat - the other person always got the best color -

I'm convinced the first movie was a comedy that everyone took too seriously the first time around.

The sad part is that the first movie was the most believable of the lot. They just get worse and worse as they go.

It is funny now that in the first one the big heist was small TVs with built in DVD players. Today you could leave the truck open on the side of the road with a big sign saying ‘ free Please take’ and nobody would bother.

So in the wagon it's a 2005 impreza shell so the fuel tank is 05 Impreza. 16 gals but this was just after the fuel light went on. Still had 3 gals left... I do have an aftermarket DWERKS fuel pump maybe it's a bit shorter than the stock one lol. Was expecting 2 gals or less left.

Probably a similar number to the number of aardvarks called Aaron.

Retread tires suck. On my way home last night there was a chunk of a retread tire in the middle of the road. It was dark, raining, and I was driving through an area known to have lots of deer, so I was more focused on the sides of the road. I didn't see it until it was too late and I ended up running it over. I haven't found any cracks in my bumper (yet), but I'm worried that it might've done to the underside of my car

This one time in Australia, a tree jumped out at us.

Underside is overall pretty durable. Few spots stuff could catch and do damage, but overall I'd say your odds are decent. Give it a look when you get a chance though.

I've done a tear-down after my previous BRZ was driven into a 4" gate post / fence pole and tore it out of the ground, with the concrete base obviously being slightly larger around than I have ground clearance... scrapes and scratches, but... obviously, it probably did a bit more damage to the nose than you experienced with the retread...

no, that's the most hilarious part. they were tv/vcr combo's and vcr players. there's no visible dvd players in the shot.

here:

the street value of all that, even back when the movie was released in 2001, was literally $1,000 for the entire truck...

#triggered

unless you got out of the car, and visually inspected the tire to confirm it was actually a retread, not all tire scrap is retread scrap. false info is the worst.

here's an article summary of the nhtsa's 2007-2009 study on tire debris:
https://www.moderntiredealer.com/new...e-debris-study

and the pdf to the full nhtsa study from that article:
