Removing front fender

Any one have an illustrated step by step for removing the front fender? The GT86 or BRZ manuals don't have it, that's why I'm asking...

I assume you mean front bumper. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8788

I think I used this one when I removed mine.

Thanks, but no, I clearly meant the front fender (the left hand side one in particular). It looks like it's mostly screwed on the frame, but I can't find any section in the floor shop manuals detailing how to remove a front fender (to repaint it).

Just to be clear, here's what I want to remove : http://www.carbongoodies.co.uk/Seibo...ers-10mm-Wider (this is just to illustrate the "front left fender", I by no means intent to use a non OEM one)

Some input here please guys... my local dealer seems to have messed up replacing the fender (after a minor accident), and before going back to look at it (I refused to pick the car up) I want to know what the correct fender replacement procedure is (also to know what I should inspect).

Well shouldn't the dealership have all the repair manuals? You are talking about a Toyota dealership right?

Should be easy, I think you just need to remove the front bumper, and the side garnish and from there, it should just be bolts.

It is indeed a Toyota dealer, but from what I see in the repair manuals (I have GT86 Toyota TechDoc and the BRZ one too) there is no section explaining how to remove them. For example, removing the front bumper is well explained and illustrated, removing the garnishes/linings is also explained, but removing the fender is not. I suspect it's pretty simple, as Wes suggests, remove the bumper (not even sure this is necessary), remove the bottom lining, unbolt the fender and remove.

However, if someone has some experience with removing a front fender, I'd appreciate his input (to confirm, complete the above). Also, if someone has some pics of a GT86 with the front fender removed, it would be interisting.

Front bumper off first. Should be about 10x10mm bolts total. 3 of top above wheel well, 2 by the headlight, 2 bottom side by the jack point, and 2 more holding the fender to the side of the body. Use a wrench from inside the opened door. remove the fender liner clips for it to slide out. Its a straight forward procedure, just follow the bolts

Thanks for the procedure, the car's still at the dealer (the fender's been repainted), I'll see when it's back if all looks good.
