I changed my engine oil today. I have the JR oil cooler. I sure wish there was a valve or some way to use air to empty the oil cooler of at least most of the trapped oil. It feels so wrong to leave that much dirty oil in the system. Rant over.

Been tempted to get this. Been on and over the fence and back over and down on what to do either turbo or supercharger. Think I have rested on the supercharger side. Will be a year out but think thats my plan.

To help solidify your decision a little, stock rods do not like low end torque so I think on a stock bottom end going SC will be better for the long haul reliability test.

Why low end torque? A force is a force no matter how often you apply it. If the stock rods are bending from torque it is the maximum torque created doing the bending, not where in the cycle it occurs.

I am no tuner nor an engineer. Cosworth had a good explanation on this subject and you could probably for it.

But here is how I understood it (disclaimer, this is not what they said but just one aspect that clicked for me that I could easily be wrong about):

The faster rotation of the crank helps alleviate some of that stress on the rod. You make a certain amount of power in a certain amount of time (the fuel combusting) and at a higher rpm that torque is spread out over many more degrees of rotation of the crank rather than the crank pushing back on the rod because it is moving much more slowly but the combustion is still occurring and putting just as much pressure on the crank for it to not move as much as it would at a higher rpm. So all that pressure has to go somewhere: the rod.

If I am completely wrong Mike will quickly swoop down and smite my idea and I'll love him even more than I do now for it because like everyone else, I am here to learn.

So you're saying it is the instantaneous force on the rod, at higher rpm that force is spread out over a longer interval. Gotcha.

Depends on your bolt-ons and tuner, but you can imagine what it would do with an Ace header and good tune, if we are at 400whp on a C30 + ace + E85.

Is that with stock internals? 400whp with the C30
