I don't get you guys' priorities. For the thousands of dollars some of your are spending you could organize some fantastic road trips. Drive your car through the mountains, Death Valley, some appalachian switchbacks, empty Montana highways, drive to Vegas and Laguna Seca and the Columbia River Gorge, stay at the Overlook Hotel or Mt. Washington. You could have experiences you'd never forget. I would rather do that than look out my window at my $2,500 rim and tire set and triangular-shaped exhaust tips.

Depends on what you want. I do road trips with my car, but they usually end in track events. I was $2k in within a week of owning the car for RPF1s and stickier AD08 tires (had zero to do with looking at them though). Then add in the brake pads and fluid and that was just for the first track prep. Then OEM brakes weren't up to the task, so add in Essex Sprint brake kit. Suspension isn't enough for the additional grip and I have enough experience to use more, so add in Multi Pro R2's once they arrive, then some conv items like the homelink mirror, shiftknob (stock one wasn't comfortable IMO with the threads going up the knob). Add in more pads and more brake fluid, SS lines, tint (florida heat sucks), nameless axle back to hear the car on track with a helmet on, oil cooler to control oil temps on track, some misc bushings to increase feedback and feel, etc.

Everyone uses their cars for different things, there's no reason to post about not getting our priorities simply because they don't match yours.

I do lots of road trips ... in the summer. Its -28C right now (-42C with windchill ... which is -40F for you southern boys) so right now its time for upgrades and preventative maintenance work before summer hits.

Nope, its a Ca-Fi knock off brand from ebay. As far as i'm aware the appradio doesn't actually run an android OS, but i could be wrong.

im suprised not a whole lot of people have gotten a new brake kit. personally, id love bigger brakes but i cant afford the cost (because i cant split up the price into more manageable amounts). But me and some other frs owners in colorado take these up into the mountains and the brakes feel really mushy coming into fast tight corners.
