Just reading this makes me think back about the video that SubaruWRXFan made about the BRZ not feeling exciting enough and never feeling drama-like. Also I didn't know that the GT86 had understeer? This is the first review I've seen with it.

Finally! Someone compares to cars in the same league...both 2.0l 150kw built with one sole focus "handling" why would you compare it with the rs250.
These 2 cars I was tossing up between. Opted for gt86. Only for the fact I have an ae86 and aftermarket parts availabilty.

And its been well documented that the 86 is set up for understeer ie softer front springs than that of the brz.

One of the only questionable reviews I have read on the GT86. I guess you will always have one...

What also bothers me is how they make the Renault engine seem like it has way more power over the 86's engine which would mean that the Renault's powerband feels more visceral(which I love).

Why is it that the only bad reviews are always coming from Evo magazine? I can't shake the feeling they've never quite recovered from giving that initial BRZ-AT they tested poor marks. It's like they're always trying to justify that initial poor review.

Also, for a magazine that prides itself on being enthusiast-focused, why is it they always seem to find themselves in the least enthusiast-focused Toyobaru models (BRZ-AT, base level FR-S lacking LSD)? Odd...

EVO, your man card has been revoked! Everyone else agrees that the (GT)86/FR-S/BRZ are the best damn sports cars on the market right now. Why can't you accept it? Keep driving your silly little French cars, you English pigdogs!

FRS has an LSD...

Every since Toyota fucked them by sending an AT to a track test they have held a grudge.

In the UAE, the base model Toyo 86 doesn't come with LSD. You can see Evo tested the base model because of the 16" wheels seen in the pictures.

Haha yeah also helps sell magazines by being controversial, I would imagine.
