Indeed and even more props, respect, etc... to everyone who hasn't bought a BRZ/FRS and instead made $25k charitable donations to all the worthy causes out there or invested the money.

Also a big shout out to all those BRZ/FRS drivers who know not to hog the fast lane, signal before changing lanes, actually stop at stop signs and don't roll through, and to those who leave space for people to merge in when the lanes shrink down from two to one.

I'm much more interested in those owners, who make the roads easier to navigate for us all, than how someone paid for their car.

I plan on financing it in the low 300's. Which I don't think will be that bad, but I hate when people get all uptight paying 200 or less on a new car, smh.

Yeah, 'respect'

I can respect people paying for their own car but this thread just makes me sad... For one, all you younger kids bragging about paying $500 a month and still live with your parents is nothing to gloat about. Alot can happen in however long you financed for (im assuming 6 years) and as soon as you move out you will realize how expensive $500 a month really is when your working some shitty job and trying to make rent.

Secondly, the people posting about $460-$500+ payments astounds me, especially the ones that have them financed for six years. Do any of you realize the most of you will be upside down in this car granted anything were to happen to it? (which is highly like judging by a couple posters interest) you've already lost about 5k as soon as you drove off the lot.. Idk, maybe you guys have some grand scheme I dont know about and I shouldnt make assumptions. But I was always told if cant afford it, wait until you can. because the 'american dream' of having everything first only leads to the bank owning everything.... I think respect goes more towards the people who put down note worthy deposits and financed for 1-3yrs tops. We'll see who still owns this car in the next 4-5yrs hell even 3-4yrs because I promise, those payments are gonna catch up to you and bite you in the ass.

Damn, I can't imagine $500 a month. The max I'll let myself pay for a BRZ Limited is $350, which should be doable. My previous car was $260 a month and there's no way I could justify twice that payment (plus probably higher insurance payments), even if the car is much more fun. I can't imagine young people having much money left over if they pay that much.

I don't think it matters who paid for it. If somebody's parents bought them the car, it's all good. So long as their not some snob or stuck up douche who takes it for granted.

If they can appreciate what they have and they're working/going to school/doing something with their lives (not being a bum) then cool. I think that's what's most important after all.

So damn true man, just let it out. Cause that shit needs to be heard.

I actually had a long conversation with a few of my old business professors recently, whom I highly respect, and they pretty much persuaded me (better than anyone else could) to stick it out and go with my original plan and to also just wait for next year or as much as I'd hate to say it... in 2 years. GRRRR!

Haha, sure why not... maybe the STi will be out by then too. :happy0180:

And that was one point that was brought up, since my car is awd, good on gas, low mileage, so I should keep my current Legacy and add the BRZ later.

Are those your actuall payments are just what your making?

My interest rate was 2.8% and I financed about 3k more than you but my payments are only 390. This was on a 5 year as well.
