And they were still technically nerfed by having been designed around the Japanese under 3000cc insurance group in the first place...

Only downside is numbish steering and targa top engineering (chassis goes to shit with it off). On the road course the power delivery can be a handful but yeah, otherwise, it is God's car.
My first Supra was a 93 targa. Major flex when hard cornering and over bumps. The second Supra was a 96 hardtop--much better. I recall Ken Henderson with his black huge aftermarket twin turboed Supra was on the cover of some magazine that was doing a shootout with a silver Supra, a black RX7 and other cars. His car pulled .97g's in the skidpad if I remember correctly. He drove his car there but some trailored in rx7 pulled like 1.03g's or something. Kind of a ringer.

Street challenge. I was off on the numbers but close. 1.035 for the rx7 and the Supra did 1.009 and kens did .94.

Car handled great. At 150mph+ it felt rock solid. It was also a tank at 3500lbs compared to the twins.

This is the video I remember. It was definitely a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Nice find!

There was a perfect version of that video on YouTube but it got taken down, I could only find it on Vimeo the other day.

I can watch that drive around the Bay Area all day long, the old world without every second car being an ugly SUV is quite refreshing.

New set of spy photos. Nothing new to report. But we do get a better look of the width of the rear and quarter rear window from some of the photos.

Oh boy am I excited for this car. Sounds like it's using one of those fast shifting ZF autos or a dual clutch. Will make a great addition to the BRZ...

Sounds like a dual clutch gearbox cuz of that fart noise.

Is it me or are the wheels a tad small for a car body this big?

if the car is heavily disguised there could be extra panels bulking up the exterior of the car. That would throw off the proportions WRT the wheels/tires.

A possibility?

I think it's an optical illusion. I've noticed the same things in all of the spy photos and renders. There is most definitely padding on the front and rear fenders that make it look a bit like a whale from some angles, plus the swirls confusing the camera.

Yea, 100% DCT. I'm not aware of any torque converter automatics that do that on upshift.

Now, can anyone determine anything about the engine from the exhaust note? inline 6 or V6?
