I have enkei rpf1 17x9 +35 on RCE lowering springs, bilstein b6, camber plates, and stock crash bolts.

I am soon going to get the Federal RSRR tires. They only come in 235 or 255 and I know they run a size wider than normal. Would 255 rub on my lowering springs?

And if 235 is the way, then should I get 235/40/17, or 235/45/17?

TIA

Ok, so I plan on buying some Motegi MR127's. I want to double check that everything would work on stock FR-S and not have fitment issues, and how flush it would be. Its the Motegi Racing MR127 Satin Black Wheel (18x8"/5x100mm, +38mm offset). Also since this is my first time buying new wheels for my FR-S is there anything else that I should purchase along side of the wheels and tires (probably gonna be 225/40R18W)

Yes, that will be fit fine on stock suspension just keep in mind it might poke a little bit in the front. You may want to get hub-centric rings and make sure you get correct size aftermarket lug nuts (M12x1.25). Also, you will need TPMS sensors so you dont get the TPMS light on your dash depending on where you go to get your wheel and tires mounted they might just swap the OEM sensors to your new wheels.

It looks like 255/40/17 hankook RS-3's fit on 17x9 +35's with similar suspension parts.

Hmm seems like he still rubber at full lock when reversing, I don’t rub at all anywhere (245/40/17 PSS) and I kinda wanna keep it that way so thank you for directing me to that link.

So getting 235s, will I need 235/40 or 235/45?

What wheels are you thinking? Lowering will change camber. Not wheels. Also, the more you lower, the more natural camber you will get. The car does not have adjustment stock. I'd suggest a set of camber bolts, the are easy to install and inexpensive.

either 17x9 or 17x8 around 35 offset range. i guess i just wanted to know if i could get away with being lowered on stock wheels until the new ones came in with lca and decide then if it would be worth it but thanks

17x8 +35 is a perfect size. 17x9 +35 will work great too, but pokes some in the front.

I'd run 225/45 on the 17x8. 245/40 on the 17x9. LCA is not necessary, but camber bolts are for the front. Especially for 17x9 +35.

im not smart enough to figure this out but im curious about 17x8 +30.. is that close to how 17x9 +35 would sit? 17x8 does seem more appealing to me though and with the cheaper tire price it would be nice aha. i plan on getting camber bolts up front though but good to know i dont need lca.. but even if i go about 1.5" lower? natural should be fine for DD?

How are you lowering? How much camber do you want to run? 17x8 +30 will work with around -2 front camber.

IMHO, I can not suggest going lower than 1" on springs. But, that's how I roll.
