Yeah good ole texas heat. I think it was around 98 when I went out to pull this. Gave it about 20 mins of driving before I started logging to try and get past the learning curve. I dont anticipate touching anything. @Shiv@Openflash is making a trip down here in two weeks to do a few custom tunes for a few guys here in Dallas. Ill leave it to him to iron it all out for me ps: thank you @steve99 . Been reading through all your posts the last few days tryng to grasp the concept. You have benfited the community greatly with all the info youve assembled. Hats of to you good sir. Last edited by jph11; 08-31-2015 at 11:13 PM. Reason: forgot mention |

So just got an ecutek cable and started doing some data logging... I dont really know what "knock" is but from the tables it seems like I have a lot of it...
8.0 in some instances of "Knock Correction Learn Value (°CA)" I know i get a lot of jerking when i go WOT for the first couple seconds... Edit: I guess I'll throw my table up here if anyone is interested... I've never wandered over to this section of the forums... I guess this is where the cool kids be hanging at.. lol http://datazap.me/u/olsonpg/phils-berz?log=0&data=6 Thanks in advance for the good info! |

@olsonpg
Ok looking at your log for knock look at these parameters http://datazap.me/u/olsonpg/phils-be...ata=6-15-35-39 see how you got a series of knock events that dropped your IAM from 1 to 0.75, this is worse knock that the previous guy, not super bad but probably needs some work to sort it out its not ideal. you getting knock correction events between -2 and -3 degrees quite regularly. This is causing the IAM to drop to 0.75 from one. assume your using the fuel appropiate to the tune ? http://datazap.me/u/olsonpg/phils-be...zoom=1412-3690 This looks like a tuned rom to me the AFR is way leaner than stock tune which runs really rich often down in the high 10's. and it appears the LTFT is disabled or you have incredibly good maf scaling as its always zero % normally it would vary a bit. http://datazap.me/u/olsonpg/phils-be...2403&mark=2325 looks like you need to run better fuel or even just try differnt brands some are way better than others, or get the tuner to back the timing off a bit and/or richen it up a bit higher rpm arround 7000 and also in the 2000-3000 areas where your getting those -2 degree knock corrections or increase the intake air temperature retard. its not rearly bad but could be better. |

Switched back to OFT stage 1. Looks like I'm now running slightly lean.
AFR goes from 13.9 @ 2800 RPM --> 13.2 @ 4000 RPM --> 12.3 @ 6700 RPM/redline. Commanded AFR is ~0.5 richer on average. Is this a reason to be concerned? Here are two 2nd gear pulls. http://www.datazap.me/u/darksunrise/...1?log=2&data=1 The car feels strong (stronger through the midrange than stage 2?), but I am seeing some FLKC on the logs.

stupid question - what value are you looking at and what should a more normal looking value be? |

if you did a little maf scaling it would bring you afr and commanded afr togeather, you probably only need to do the open loop scaling ie above 3.2 volts that will make you run to the commanded afr ie slightly richer which will probabaly clean up that bit of knock. the iam is solid at one so the ecu software not bothered about that knock. if correcting the afr does not fix it then make the iat retard tables a bit more agressive at the high iat temps your seeing. the stock tune knocks way worse than that |

see the logging link below it looks ok for first tank of e85 ie negitive fuel trims due residual petrol, see how it goes on next fill, you car looks like it got the maf sensor that runs on the rich side, it safe but will result in slightly worse economy and power. if your handy with romraider you can port accross waynos tune changes to your map. |
