DIY Resonated Muffler Delete

Hi all,

So my brother sold his FR-S and i have his stock cat-back exhaust laying around. Now I was thinking of cutting up the muffler inlet and outlet pipes, cutting out the resonator from the longer part and using that resonator to link up the two outlet pipes. What do you all think?

Basically it'll be like a Berk Muffler Delete, but with a resonator and made out of stock components.

Just guesstimating, but I think the stock resonator is too long for that?

Are there any problems with lack of back pressure with a muffler delete? Also, where could I get the exhaust hanger rods?

This is exactly what I did for my temporary muffler delete. No issues at all when I was otherwise stock. There is plenty of room after the stock resonator.

Unless I misunderstood what you're trying to do. Pics for reference.

Just looking at that picture looks like only 1 exit is being resonated? So most of the exhaust gasses is going to come out of the non resonated side and be almost worthless?
