Sorry for noob questions.

What caused the oil starvation and what would be a fix?

I assume the carbon fibre doors and mirrors are for looking tough as you already very light. So light that you mentioned you need a full tank of fuel to get a quicker lap! More downforce needed?

Any recommendation for a good mechanic and tuner in Perth? Thanks

Yeah, not much to update.
Car is STILL at the workshop. Too much stuffing around with a 3rd party(who was meant to do the closed decking) and they couldn't pull their finger out, so I'm going for an outfront closed deck halves it looks like.
And most probably the Full-Race EFR 7163 turbo kit. #FirstInPerth

Car also needs new clutch, so going for an Exedy. And also a bigger radiator so a Koyo is on the shopping list too

Bit of an update

Crank has been 'WPC treated'. Pretty handy since the company WPC Treatment and Outfront are both in Torrance CA, a 45min or so drive.

Hey man. Loving this build. What is your end power goal for this build. I too am looking at getting the full race kit but with the EFR6758. This won't be happening for a few years as still under warranty but doing all my research now. My aim is around the 220wkw on 98. I was looking at getting the CP Carrillo 10:1 pistons, CP conrods, GSC valve springs, Verus Engineering Denso radiator, ID1050X injectors and DW65C fuel pump. You seem to know quite a bit of what will be required. Do you reckon this will be sufficient for my power aim?

Will you be using the full race intercooler and their crash beam? Mine is going to stay road registered so I am looking at getting a custom intercooler to fit with the stock beam.

Thanks. I'm going for the Tunehouse "THR" kit, with Borwarger EFR 7163 twinscroll. Aiming for a reliable high 300's rwhp for track. Maybe go for a 400-ish rwhp dyno run and see what I can get before breaking the gearbox. Will be using Flexfuel obviously to achieve that.
Car is more track orientated, but I think a reliable 400rwhp in a 1200kg car would be nice.

Man that is going to be an absolute bullet. With that power/weight ratio you will be matching if not beating V8s.

HKS GTIII-RS

Changed my mind on the turbo kit, luckily the workshop is snowed under with work and the cars on the back burner. Will be happy to max out 450 if possible.

Quick update.

Just waiting for the fabricator to finish up the custom 3in overpipe and 3in front pipe. Car should be ready in a few days. Some progress pics..
