You may as well drop it now then. No domestic vendor is going to take the risk of importing a whole bunch of these without a guarantee of sell. The cost will be the same; its not like the price will magically drop if someone else imports it into the country; they just pass that cost back on to you. Also this will be a low volume item, which means that TRD Japan will wait until they have a batch of orders before they produce them to ship out. That's the reason behind the estimated 45 day turn around time. They are not a mom and pop shop that builds to each order. They are a full scale manufacturing facility, so its not cost effective for them to setup there assembly line just to build one item at a time. The cost of overhead is just too great.

The louvers look great!!... very vintage appeal and look... really like it on this car. 900 dollars worth?... heeeeellllllll no. Maybe 300 - 400 at most is what I will pay.

I would just wait like 4 month when they will be on ebay for like 200$. Thats what happened with the trd kit, you can get that knock off for like 500$. Same will happenb with this.

Yes, I know they are made to order. Hence why I hoped somebody ordered a few so I didn't have to wait for them to be built.

I'm very much aware of how TRD is not a mom and pop shop lol.. wtf...

However, they DO only make one at a time. They are truly built to order. This info is straight from the japanese horse's mouth..

Peace

Snow and ice doesn't get under them they keep it off your window.

900 is insane, especially for plastic. My Z has them, and they're aluminum. For like 600 (idk bout mine, dealer option in the 80's) new and plastics are like 300.

Embrace the tackyness!

Haha! Well I guess it would in That case. I've only had it out in our modest snow "storms". I could only imagine what it'd be like there!

Air shipping was $1400 or some shit. I'm not gonna lie. I almost pulled the trigger till I saw that. Absolutely insane. So +$2k. I hope eBay has some knock offs soon. I hate saying that too.

I'm in for getting them as part of a group buy. With the cheapest shipping estimate I'm looking at an $1100-$1200 total.
