the GF has some family in that area and Spartanburg. depending on the part she says it's all about that "Old South" society elite type people or just poor folks.

by comparison the part of Ga we had lunch in should seem like the "Big City".

I have a niece and nephew that went to the same high school I did, but about 30 years later. My niece took some of the same classes and extracurricular activities as me, and ran across my name on things (awards, etc) several times. It was nice that she took a sense of family pride from getting her name on several awards that I also won (JROTC, clubs, etc).

Hair? I've had the same "hairstyle" for damn near 20 years. As soon as my hair started thinning I shaved it all off. Not just buzzed it down, but right to the skin. I get a haircut every morning.

I do go through a lot of razor blades, though, so I'm not sure if it's that much cheaper than paying for a haircut.

That's why I've never gone the shaved route, too much work to maintain.

Meh, once you get the routine down it doesn't take very long to do. It's just a couple of more minutes more, since I'm already shaving my face.

I just have to watch out for head-wounds. The tiniest little nick and I look like a trauma patient. Head-wounds bleed forever.

I didn't win any awards nor do any art work in either of my years in high school. There is a distinct possibility that there are still tire marks in the parking lot though.

I was a bit of an overachiever in high school for selfish reasons. My Father owned a roofing company where I worked for "room and board". The only valid excuse to not work after school or on weekends was if I had had something associated with school going on.

I joined just about every club, event, or team that I was eligible for to avoid that. Didn't help during the summer but at least during the school year my roofing experience was kept to a minimum.

I also left my share of tire marks in the parking lot because my buddies and I were about always the last ones to leave the building if at all possible and we almost always did a drag race or a some sort of nonsense before leaving.

We did not crash, but did come close on a couple of occasions.

They will keep us pretty busy but I was just curious as to the area. Sounds like it will be better than the Gainesville GA trip last year.

2089 days of ownership today! 72,518 on my dash right now... I'm averaging 34.7 miles a day - EVERYDAY!

Just got a letter from the dealership saying that they would love it if I traded in and got another loan. No thanks, I finally have most of the mods I wanted when I bought the car.

1331 days. 120,000 (and change) for an average of 91 miles a day. This is only a little over 60% of what I anticipated when I bought the car since my trips to the Windsor location have been greatly diminished and my miles traveled have been reduced.

99,100,800 seconds. Averaging 0.00016145177 miles per second. That is about what I expected.
