Yeah thats where i'm kinda sitting. If i did more canyon runs i'd absolutely stay NA. And thats how i thought i would be when i first got the car. But then i got a new job which takes up essentially ALL of my mon-fri time. The miles being put on the car has significantly dropped the last month. Before this new job i was averaging about 2.5k miles a month (a lot for me i used to average 800 on my old car). Now going from 9k miles to 10k miles has taken over a month and a half lol.

Also you cant really use "no practical applications for a DD" driver as an argument against more power. If that was the case no practical person would ever buy any car that has over 100 hp. And yet that new Corolla S is pushing 350...

Again if my goal was TONS OF POWA i'd have bought a mustang or Camero for the same price.

Honestly, this just sounds irresponsible, on a few levels.

Haha probably. I'm honestly not as reckless and irresponsible as i'm making myself out to be. Havnt had a speeding ticket in over 9 years and havnt been in an accident in over 12. I'm a fairly safe responsible driver. I just have a tendency to sound young and immature online haha.

There is nothing practical about having a twin. That's why they sold 15k+ twins in the US in 2015 and like 350k+ Camrys. Twins are not for practical people.

My $.02.

I went FI with mine for one reason only, because I wanted to. Love the car now. I know I might wear some things out faster, but that's ok. That's the price of going faster.

Man I feel you on that one. I hate that too, being automatic I have to move over to the slow lane sometimes.

One piece of advice: don't ride in a FI twin unless you're absolutely sure you want it and have the means right at that moment. I've seen what happens when people get rides in FI cars ( or get a tour of the Edelbrock factory ) and they are likely to do it themselves very soon after. How could it possibly be bad? It'll just leave you wanting for that power level right when you get back in your own car

Haha yeah i've already done a bunch of research and thinking about this and right now i make enough money that i wouldnt even be in financial distress if i did it. So i figured now is as good a time as any.

Yup. I do the opposite. When i want my car to feel fast I drive something slower since i cant afford FI lol

Yup, I do like being able to pass without down shifting, or not slowing down when going up a hill

And to be perfectly honest, there is a chance i may not do it at all. But getting to know the systems, how it affects the car. It's all interesting to me.
I used to think I had one of them "high paying" jobs, then I got married and had a kid Just be reminded that it is a slippery slope. The true cost of going FI is never just from the kit, you are going beyond the original design intent of the manufacturer and you need to take into account the cost of possible down time, supporting mods, etc.

Have you tried driving an NA car with E85? Seems like a good middle ground before making the huge jump to FI.
