oh man. I saw the title and entered, I am now leaving with a smile on my face and had a good laugh tonight.

but honestly. Grab a can of cleaner wax. Circular motion with a microfiber aplicator pad. don't let the wax dry all the way.

take of a few thin layers of your clear coat where it is stuck with some rubbing compound and then polish back to a shine. if that wont work, remove hood, sand, repaint.

polishing compound after you rubbing compound it.

thanks for the short lived LOLs

Same thing happened to mine when I dipped my front emblem...tried WD40,rubbing compound, wax and still nothing...decided just to have it retouched at the bodyshop.

I have heard that this has effected others but I couldn't find anything when I searched. Did you ever talk to the people at dipyourcar.com?

How about those cleaner waxes they sell at car shows like IBIZ and Liquid Lustre? The have petroleum distillates that should be strong enough to fix that.

Just a quick update. I cleaned and clay bared my can it it didn't effect the red S at all, but after a week of parking my car in the sun the bled through symbol has almost faded away.

I will post pictures when i get back to my computer.

I know I'm bumping this thread, but just saw this posted elsewhere.

I had the same issue when I dipped my badges red. Same as the OP, it eventually went away. I tried: Wax and grease remover, unleaded petrol (quickly washed off with water), goof off, Vodka, dish washing detergent and a few others and it didn't come out.

Apparently there is an issue with the red plastidip staining surfaces that it's put on.

Very sad and idiotic things BRZ owners do to their car… Afraid to know what OP has in mind when the new Lord of the Rings comes out.
