I'd be down to do this, but I think the steering wheel would be too much of a mission just for a badge... Unless someone figures out a better solution.

People that own USDM Integra's do this all day throwing Honda badges on.

I myself wouldn't do this unless i got the badges for free or super cheap.
And IMO i don't care what people do with the car. They payed for it they own it its there car so do what ever with it.

Dose it suck that its badge under the scion name yes. But i don't see what the bid deal would be in changing it to Toyota badges?

Yes, on the vendor thread that has the replacement Toyota badges they mention the front and back have alignment holes. The front one has clips but the back is held on just by tape. Doesn't say where the holes are though on the badge. I'm guessing top/bottom center, but its a pure guess. I haven't looked to see yet.

Not a debadge but a rebadge. Here you go (Carson Toyota sells them cheaper):

If I get the chance to do it easily, and reasonably cheaply, I would like to swap out as many Scion badges on mine as possible with Toyota equivalents. Here's my reasoning...

People like making statements on their cars. Bumper stickers for political candidates, Jesus fish, Darwin fish, etc... My changing of emblems isn't about trying to fool people into thinking I've got something I don't; it's a passive statement to the world my opinion about the Scion branding. Toyota is a fine motor company; they've got outstanding heritage in motor sports, and a long list of cars each with its own rabidly devoted fanbase. My god, how many of us know the engine code for a Supra, without ever even having owned one?

Scion, on the other hand, is a marketing ploy to youth. Not just any youth, but a marketing department's ideal of what youth these days are into. It is trying to be what's hip, what's happening, what's crickety-crunk for millennials. I, however, am not young. Hell, even when I was young, I thought the music was too loud, and those damn kids needed to get off my lawn.

When I heard that Toyota and Subaru were teaming up to build an affordable successor to the infamous hachi-roku, I wept with joy. I pictured lithe, nimble cars combining Toyota's sense of sensuous style with Subaru's un-PC approach to making cars go as fast as possible. I pictured a new era in touge racing, a revival of the glory days from the 90's when Japanese sports cars were at their prime.

Then when I heard Scion would be selling this car in America, my vision became clouded with 20"+ chrome rims, excessively slammed suspensions, lime green paint, and spokesmen proclaiming, "Yo dawg, check da new aighty-six out, a'ight?! It's got the drifts, yo!" For better or worse, that's what I associate with the Scion brand in America.

By changing badges out for Toyota ones, I'm making a simple, personal statement that even as an adult, I can appreciate an affordable, simple performance, RWD sports car, without having to be talked down to like a punk kid who wants to be an extra in the next Fast and the Furious. That as a consumer I'd rather be associated with Supras and MR2's and Corolla GT-S's, than TC's and XB's with neon-light kits.

That's just my take on it.

This.

When I had my NSX, I put Honda badges on it as well... Acura meant and represented absolutely nothing to me. Honda had a racing heritage behind it, and, at the time, was in Formula 1 to prove it. I'm not much when it comes to brands designed specifically for us "dumb Americans." When a car is marketed as something EVERYWHERE ELSE in the world, I don't get the point of marketing it as something different here.

So yeah, if/when I get an FR-S, it will get Toyota badges and the FR-S badge is coming off. And I'm fine with that.

Well since everyone will be switching to Toyota badges and possibly Subaru. I will go the Lexus badge route and be unique. We all know Lexus/Toyota/Scion are the same so i'll be a happy camper
