Exhaust Stage
Hi all! Long time lurker first time poster.
I previously owned 3G Acura TL-S and acurazine forum posted numerous posts regarding exhaust stages (e.g. 1~3). These stages simply consisted of removing the stock resonator and replacing with dynomax or flowmaster resonator for more aggressive exhaust note. With that said, is it possible to apply similar set up to BRZ/FRS for more aggressive exhaust note? If so, please advise as to what types/brands would be compatible. Thanks! Here is the link to acurazine forum that talks about the exhaust stages. http://tl.acurazine.com/forums/showt...=exhaust+stage Last edited by enkubus; 08-14-2012 at 07:45 PM. |

There really hasn't been any talk of "stages" with the BRZ/FR-S. There are specific exhaust parts which people replace.
http://blog.perrinperformance.com/wp...st-diagram.jpg That is a good picture of the factory exhaust. Right now most of the exhausts available are catbacks which replace the midpipe and muffler, and obviously change the exhaust sound. But there are various options which replace any of those components from various companies. |

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6064 "Stages" are a strange way to think of an exhaust upgrade. To me it applies a linear transition, as if Stage 3 is as better than Stage 2 as Stage 2 is better than Stage 1. |
