Eneos Sustina 0W-20

Hi, I'm just making this post to see if anyone shares similar experience with me.

Before I change the stock oil on My BRZ, the motor wasn't exectly smooth at low gears. Also transmission likes to grind at lower rpm, and wont even go in gear or grind when I try to shift at above 7k rpm at times. After some home work, I was looking for Motul oil for both engine and transmission. However none of the local shop have them, the only official retailer in town for Motul (The Las Vegas Subaru that's on our dealer black list here) even told me they wont stock nor order Motul 0w-20 for me. .....No wonder they are on the dealer black list right?

Disappointed, I started looking for other substitute. One of the local shop told me to try the Eneos Sustina since they have it in stock and surprisingly enough. After the oil change, Not only motor is alot smoother (which is entirely expected), all the previous transmission funkyness also disappeared from that day onward. I'm just really puzzled by how is this possible, it's not like it's some kind of magic fluid....



PS: I'm not paid to type this ...even thou it sounds like it. lol Just want someone to explain to me how can a oil change makes so much difference haha.

The car runs real well on Eneos Sustina 0w-20. I just changed to it a few days ago and the engine all around just feels like it's running real clean. It is definitely worth the money for it, but I'm interested to see how it looks at 8k miles. I've seen this stuff last a very long time and the Japanese swear by this oil.

As for your transmission, I would still look to buy some Motul Gear 300. I think you just caught a fluke moment because an oil change has nothing to do with the transmission.

I have tried Subaru 0w20 / eneos sustina 0w20 & Toyota 0w20. My favorite is Toyota 0w20. This is the oil I will use the life of the car.

I know, but this is more real then butt dyno. lol I just can't explain how the whole car is a lot smoother as one after a simple change of eneos.

I've used subaru, sustina, and 300v. Can't say I feel a difference. I just did an oil change with 5w30 300v and am sending an oil analysis of my 0w20 300v with 5500 miles and 5 hpde.

Whenever you change the oil - it feels different.

Changing my tranny oil to Pentosin MTF2 made a difference.

OP changed motor oil. Transmission untouched, and it felt different.

So what. I don't think he said the car sprouted wings and hovered for 10 minutes. They are mechanically coupled together. If I warp my brake rotors I can feel it in the steering wheel. If I change my wheel weight or size I can measure a change in power output. I don't see why a change in oil can't also change the harmonics considering the speed at which a counterweight slams through an oil pan (among other things).

What's your point? I read the entire thread. Then I mentioned that by changing your tranny fluid (as opposed to your engine oil) that makes a difference (to your tranny)
