I've never had Mustangs rev at me. Even if they did it wouldn't bother me, I openly admit my love for that car, and I'm not going to get involved in drag races.
My one and only "drag race" encounter was between me, a V6 Camaro, and a riced-out Civic. Three lane road, stoplight, Camaro in left lane, me in right, riced Civic buzzes up between and starts revving. Not sure whether he was revving at me or the Camaro... or both of us. I wasn't having it and didn't even floor it away from the light, though the Camaro did. Amusingly, the Civic couldn't even keep up with me.

I used to own a Cobra. You will have jackasses in every car arena. I had an FRS try and race me in my Cobra. Oh well. Cobra is sold and I'm more than happy with my FRS

I have an obnoxiously loud 'muscle car' and I always give the thumbs up to the local BRZ owner around here. I understand why he loves his car and would understand he probably doesn't want to challenge me in a drag race.
Now if I see a Mustang at a stoplight, I give him a rev and look of excitement and let him launch big time. I roll away from the light...my car is too loud and I don't need that ticket. |

I love mine, just put the Kooks headers and dual exhaust kit on it, over the winter.
I think a lot of kids and punks get their hands on an F body and becuase the car is pretty stout just stock and with bolt ons run mid 12s, they get out of control. Hell, for 10 grand you can buy a car, cam, bolt ons, tires, and run 10s. Pretty easy to make hollow threats from behind a keyboard with a capable car. |

Stupid people drive all types of cars, not just mustangs. I am a former mustang owner and my car was so loud that at times people probably thought I was trying to race when I wasnt. It was an 03 cobra with 600 whp so if people did try to race, it didnt go well for them, haha.
However, now I have a boosted BRZ putting down around 300 whp @ 7 lbs, and a single turbo'd MK4 Surpa(to be dyno'd soon) so I look forward to the engine revving to come in the future. haha However...street racing is bad, or so Im told, haha |
