So, you think painting the sliding pin caliper to make it look better was cheesy, or that the color red is cheesy...? I think there's an important difference.

I think it's cheezy like when I white pinstriped every seam and bend in the body of my maroon 1963 Rambler Classic in high school back in 1970.

But kids gotta be kids.

Red or yellow? Those are the only colors meme brakes (read: brembo) come in. I say paint whatever goes with the color scheme you are going for. One day when I replace the stock wheels and tires I'm going to get tire stickers that spell out "Tire Stickers!" I'll see about stenciling in "Good Brakes!" on my brakes when I get around to painting them red

Yes, they are meme brakes because the overwhelming majority of people who have them only want them because they say brembo

Keep in mind that my opinion is better than yours

Red isn't the only color brake paint available...why not just paint them silver like they already are when they're new?

Seeing as how I wash my car roughly twice a year, trust me, I go with rusty calipers. I just haven't the time. If I lived in an urban area and rented property and had nothing better to do in my spare time than play Grand Theft Auto, I'd probably want to trick out my car like crazy.

But I literally enjoy clearing biking and hiking trails, bulding structures and clearing my .3 mile driveway more than that so I let my car get dirty and leave the brakes as is.

And I'm not slamming those that do it. Seriously. I just have different priorities. And I"m not saying mine are better. They are just different.

Truth be told, I sometimes enjoy seeing some of the TASTEFUL appearance mods people do. But it is probably less than 10% of them that I see as tasteful. Then again, appearance mods are art, and art is subjective.

Those go great with those heavy Lexani wheels and rubberband tires

Funnily, while i'd laugh at such products, they actually seem better alternative for those doing caliper swaps from other cars. At least they won't make bias worse to show brembo branding, and will be even cheaper then those swaps.
