@WheelDude.com:

Since the consensus is that the perfect wheel size/spec for the 86 is 17"x9" et35, then why not have Rota make a whole bunch of them in this custom 86 spec for the RK-R?

This size is perfect for just about all uses - track, autox, street, a flush look, lowered, a DD, a street machine, etc., etc.

A bit pricey...but looks like they can make any size...including the infamous "17x9 et35" ...I'd prolly go a tad more aggressive and go for the +30.. might as well, especially if you were dropping $3k already lol.

Hopefully Rota will release these.

No. This is the latest update
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66493

And this is the vendor Rota told me about when I contacted Rota directly, and also their reply to me:

"Hi,

Do you think you could find buyer for 3 sets?

We might be able to have to custom order, but will take about 2-3 months.

Best Regards,

Got a confirmation and quote for price and shipping to the USA for real Watanabes...also, they can definitely make 17"x9" et30-et35 in 5x100

But dang that's expensive for plain ole alloy wheels. They're not even magnesium nor forged nor light weight...can't really justify the price. Almost the same price as real Work or Volk forged wheels lol. Wish Rota made these.

"Yes we can make either of those, in that bolt pattern they are AU$790 each. Delivery is AU$320 for a set of four, manufacturing time is 12 weeks.
Thank you

Really interested on this.

Sounds like this should be around july-august for production; and then maybe a few more months for US shipments received ...so maybe there might be a special surprise this summer or fall

I wonder if @WheelDude.com is the vendor? hehe

Wish it was WheelDude since he seems to be a very reliable vendor. I emailed them again regarding these wheels with no response unfortunately.

Well, unless you want these in a 10, 5, or -15 offset I guess don't hold your breath. I'm giving up on the RKR and I'll just go with some forged wheels from TSW I think. Too bad, I've always loved the look of these and thought they looked perfect in black on the FR-S.

Even those offsets are hard to find in 5x100. I've tried asking everywhere, including Rota in the PI. No one has them and they still need to be special ordered/made with at least 3 sets.
