Can you swap a Toyota gt86 climate control center into a frs

Might be a long shot I was just wondering if it was possible to swap the gt86 center console climate controls and press to start into a Scion FR-S ?

Nope. Different companies, different cars.

...... just messing with you.
Yes you can.
Would it be easy? Nope.
Will it cost a lot? depends where/condition you buy from.
Will it be cheaper and faster to sell old car and buy a newer used one with push button start? Hell yes.

In other words your looking at the same level of work as taking your auto tranny and swapping it with a manual tranny.

Possible yes...however not worthwhile, it was hoped this would be plug and play with the existing harnesses but a standard FRS is lacking the harness to make it work properly. Short of finding a scrapped BRZ or Monogram FRS and extracting the correct harnesses you're going to have to do everything yourself and the last time I saw someone do this it doesn't function like it would stock.

Easiest solution, sell FRS for either of these, BRZ limited for most variety as they're common, Monogram FRS keep FRS looks but get nearly all upgraded equipment, or the most expensive option get a modern 86 GT trim.

In addition to a Monogram FR-S the following have a the dual HVAC: 10 Series, Series release 1.0 and 2.0.

thread jacking, manual swapping is not as difficult as some may believe. Im working on something to share with you guys who are interested. Give me a bit of time. I will share what im doing. Nothing super secret or anything, I just don't like sharing until I know for sure that it will work. For a fact, ive swapped my engine ecu with a manual trans ecu, programmed it and verified everything will crank and run. I even have push button start and it worked fine . next will be wiring up a few wires (clutch switch, reverse and neutral signal) and all the mechanical parts to be swapped.

but to the op, it will work, you need to swap interior harnesses., ac box, main body ecu and a few other minor things to make it " factory"
I get on CarMax, pull vins of certain cars, then pull up my online parts catalog and see whats different between my particular car ( R.S 2.0), and the car im trying to swap something from. Im sure most don't have enough resources to do this, but theres other ways to check parts. Gotta get creative

I understand personally, that selling and buying the one you want, isn't always an option. So, make it what you want. Just remember its usually more work than plug and play.
