I use a simple trick..... Wrap the foam applicator in a latex glove or a small plastic bag and tape it tight so that one side is holding the original shape, then wrap a blue shop towel (Scott's) around and apply the opti to the shop towel.... One other benefit is that you have less opti loss because it can't soak into the pad!

I've heard that before but was worried the towel would possibly scratch more than the pad. I've only ever used the blue shot towel's from Walmart, maybe they aren't as good quality as the Scott's?

I know people rinse them out and reuse them. I personally just toss them after each use. It's $3.99 for a 3 pack anyhow....

Many people have been successful at doing it that way, so I don't see it being a problem with the scratching.
